Tell us about yourself

Born in England during the summer of love and defineately under a bad sign (if I didn't have bad luck, I wouldn't have no luck at all). Classically trained as youngster (but sadly on woodwind instruments) I first picked up a a 6 string guitar aged 14. Smitten with the damn things since then. Did the usual teen apprenticeship of writing loads of soppy love songs which I mostly didn't commit to paper and can't remember now. They seemed eternal then of course. Don't write much now.  
 
Love of all things bass came later after uncontrolled exposure to The Who.   

Most Influential Bands

Apart from the usual suspects of Zep, Purple, Who, Beatles, Stones, Hendrix, Cream I am partial to a bit of Lizzy, Faces, Small Faces and all things Ronnie Lane. On the guitar I dig John Martyn - especially that sound he had with Danny Thompson on bass. Nick Drake can send me off for a few weeks of black eyed dog.
